So, let’s get stuck into our list of top ten best-selling used golf iron sets at golfclubs4cash (and if any of them take your fancy, you’ll find a great selection in our used iron set section of our website).

Number 10 - Titleist T100s 2021 Iron Set

It’s absolutely no surprise to see Titleist in our list of best golf iron sets, and it’s not the last you’re going to see of this much-loved golf brand either. Delivering more distance than its relative - the T100 (favoured by Cam Smith and Nelly Korda) - the forged, dual cavity S model brings a stronger loft, buckets of feel and workability, and it looks stunning in the golf bag thanks to its sleek design. It may not be up there with some of its rivals when it comes to forgiveness, but this is a tour-level iron set that gives a soft, solid feel on impact, and the sweet spot is larger than you might expect. The T100s 2021 has earned its place at number ten, and we don’t expect demand to slow down through 2024.

Number 9 - PING G10 Iron Set

When it comes to golf iron design and manufacturing, PING knows a thing or two about that. The G10 iron sets are classy, excellent value for money (especially when you buy them second hand!) and are supremely user-friendly, making them a very common sight on the golf course. PING G10 irons have been around for a long time now, but golfers keep coming back to them as a firm favourite.

They’ve been designed using PING’s ‘extreme weight perimeter’ concept - transferring some of the club head weight into the perimeter of the club to gain optimal MOI (Moment of Inertia), and it’s made a huge difference to golfers’ performance. If you’re a high-handicapper who’s looking to refine your game, bring down your handicap and bring your number of shots down, then you’ll love these little beauties. We’ve got a great selection of preloved PING iron sets in our online store.

Number 8 - Titleist T200 2021 Iron Set

We’re back with Titleist for the number eight slot, and it’s hardly surprising given that Titleist irons are a firm favourite with both professionals and amateurs. Titleist’s 2021 T200 irons might sit in the shadow of the T100, but for recreational players who value forgiveness, more distance and exceptional looks, the T200 ticks all the boxes giving you the best of both worlds. With a brushed silver back plate, a compact blade size and giving more of a ‘crack’ than a ‘thud’, the T200 2021’s looks, sound, forgiveness and distance are all packaged up perfectly in this ever-popular iron set.

Number 7 - PING i525 iron Set

We’re bouncing back to PING irons for the number seven slot, and this time it’s the i525’s moment in the limelight. Offering subtle improvements over the i500, the i525 iron set’s forgiveness (despite the compact head) gives you a bigger margin for error for those unavoidable, if slightly annoying mishits. It’s got a livelier feel, strong loft and gives a marginally longer distance. The i525 is a fantastic all-rounder - great for low to mid-handicap players, but it also suits a wide range of other abilities.

Number 6 - PING G425 Iron Set

We’re sticking with PING for the number six slot (and it’s not the last you’ve seen of them yet, either). PING’s G425 irons are the new kids on the block since the G410 went out of production. Compared to the G410, the G425 has forgiveness in spades, is inviting to hit and offers a more neutral and consistent ball trajectory. Consistency is the name of the game with the G425 - a powerful feel and a low spin make this a great choice for golfers of all levels and abilities, and our customers love it.

Number 5 - TaylorMade P790 2019 Iron Set

Quite frankly our top ten has given PING and Titleist plenty of attention up until now, so it’s high time we focused on yet another big name in golf irons - TaylorMade. TaylorMade irons are in constant demand… if they’re good enough for Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods who have both chosen TaylorMade irons in their bags throughout their careers) then they’re definitely good enough for us. The TaylorMade P790 is an upgraded version of the 2017 P790.

There have been several small but notable improvements to the 2019 P790 irons - adjustments that might not seem like much, but when they’re all put together they make for a refined, sophisticated iron that suits a wide range of abilities. Off comes the full ‘TaylorMade’ name from the club head, replaced by a simple brand mark instead. The sole is shinier, the topline is slightly thinner, the face is 7% thinner, the tungsten weight is 15% heavier, and the overall look and finish has a more premium feel. All of these improvements drive an increased ball speed, better launch angles, plenty of forgiveness, and a genuinely improved distance. And we’re here for all of it.

Number 4 - TaylorMade Stealth Iron Set

Sticking with TaylorMade irons, we’re not surprised to see their Stealth iron sets high up on our list of best-selling second hand golf iron sets at golfclubs4cash. With many improvements to the previous SIM2 Max model having been made, the 2022 Stealth iron has an elegant, premium and lively feel, delivers loads of forgiveness and low spin, performs well on distance shots and is incredibly accurate. The middle section of the club toe has been removed, which has led to a lower CG (Centre of Gravity) - and in real terms, that means better ball speed and higher launch. It’s a firm favourite with us here at golfclubs4cash headquarters. We don’t like to brag, but back in January 2023, we made some predictions about which irons would dominate throughout the year, and the Stealth irons were firmly on the list.

Number 3 - PING G25 Iron Set

We’re back with PING again for the highly coveted number three slot. The better-looking brother of the G20, the G25 irons are great for players of all abilities, so it’s no wonder they’re such a popular choice. With a progressive sole, a compact look, a non-glare matte finish and a thinner topline, PING listened hard to its customers to create a fabulous all-rounder that marks a stark improvement in both looks and performance.

Unique to the G25 is the Custom Turning Point (CTP). This is a custom bottom on the iron’s sole which lowers the CG (Centre of Gravity) and increases the MOI (Moment of Inertia). That means higher launches and straighter shots. But by far the best thing about the G25 is its forgiveness. If you’re looking for a versatile, supremely playable golf iron that suits a wide range of abilities, then you can’t get much better than this in our opinion.

Number 2 - Callaway Rogue ST Max Iron Set

We’re a sucker for good looks, and it seems that you lot are too. This is Callaway’s first and only appearance in our list of top-selling used golf irons at golfclubs4cash. And Callaway iron sets don’t come much better than the Rogue ST Max. It’s powerful, it’s noticeably long and forgiving, and it’s very easy to align. These are highly playable irons with low flight, strong lofts and loads of consistency around the golf course. The Rogue ST Max replaces the previous Mavrik Max model and it comes with a solid, expensive feel.

Number 1 - TaylorMade P790 2021 Iron Set

Drumroll please… the star performer in our list of most popular used golf iron sets at golfclubs4cash is… TaylorMade’s 2021 P790 golf iron sets. With 2019’s P790 still hanging in there at a respectable number five in our charts, we reckon that the updated 2021 model has smashed it out of the park. Built on the same foundations of performance and elegance, and aimed at low to mid-handicappers, this is a forgiving iron with a premium feel that does not compromise on distance. With a thin wall, more tungsten and a larger sweet spot, this really is an iron that has it all. We’re not surprised at all to see it sitting pretty at the top of our charts.
