What’s in Australian hotshot Cam Smith’s golf bag this season?

Cameron Smith is the winner of the 150th Open Championship, held at St Andrews in 2022. He recently gave up his PGA Tour status to join LIV Golf, a move which startled the golf world - and while he didn’t do so well at the 2023 Open Championship, he’s still very much a force to be reckoned with in the league tables.

Smith (born in Brisbane, Australia in 1993) is a rising star of the golf world. He turned professional in 2013, and since then he’s been taking the golfing world by storm. With a string of wins behind him, which clubs is he choosing to play with right now? Let’s find out…

Titleist TSR driver headcover

Driver

First up in Smith’s golf bag is a Titleist TSR3 driver (10 degrees) for teeing off - a sleek-looking, high-performing driver that’s almost certain to feature in a future golfclubs4cash Top 10 Drivers article! Keep an eye out on our website for second hand Titleist drivers at bargain prices.

We’ve written an article that tells you all about the Titleist golf brand, and if you’re looking for the perfect driver then check out our guide to buying a driver.

Ping G430 Max Wood on the course

Woods

Cam is doubling up on 3-woods, opting for a PING Max G430 (15 degrees) and a TaylorMade fairway wood (a Stealth High Launch - 16.5 degrees). Two very tasty options that certainly won’t let him down. As for a 7-wood, Smith favours the consistent and forgiving Titleist TS2 (21 degrees) for a high and long ball flight.

Cameron is playing with a Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi (3), a Titleist T200 (4) and a Titleist T100 (5-9) for his iron set. Our buyers’ guide for golf irons won’t let you down when it’s time to weigh up your own golf iron options.

Titleist Vokey Design Wedge SM9

Wedges

Sticking squarely with Titleist, Smith is deploying the Titleist Vokey Design SM9, and a Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks Proto as his wedges of choice. If you’re confused about which wedge is best for you, our guide to choosing a golf club wedge will tell you what to consider and help you decide.

Scotty Cameron Putter at Golfclubs4cash

Putter

It can only be a Scotty Cameron putter (in this instance a 009M prototype putter complete with his name branded onto the clubhead) to complete Smith’s golf club selection. For the perfect finish to any shot, check out our guide to buying a second hand putter.

When it comes to golf grips, Cam opts for Golf Pride grips (and if you want to follow his lead, we’ve got plenty of Golf Pride grips in stock at golfclubs4cash!).
