American golfer Scottie Scheffler is a PGA Tour player and is currently the world’s number-one golfer. He was born on the 21st of June 1996 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and at the very early age of three years old, his parents gifted him a plastic golf club set with a ball. (They should have treated him to a real-life second hand golf set from golfclubs4cash instead!) They could never have imagined the spark that this gift would ignite, and that their son would go on to win 75 times on the PGA junior circuit before reaching the top position in the Official World Golf Ranking in March 2022, winning the Masters Tournament the same year, and the Players Championship the year after.
It’s fair to say that, even despite his recent defeat at the Ryder Cup, Scheffler is still at the top of his game. (It’s a less well-known fact that he is also a very talented pickleball player, so his sporting prowess is showing no bounds.) So, let’s take a look at the golf clubs that he chooses to keep himself at the top of the rankings…
Driver & 3-wood: TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus (8 degrees)
Scottie is loving playing with the Stealth 2 Plus TaylorMade driver (with a Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X shaft), and he’s not alone, with other top players like Rory McIlroy also favouring Stealth drivers. The Stealth 2, released earlier in 2023, is an impressive upgrade on the original and is a brilliant all-rounder with widespread appeal. Scottie also plays with a TaylorMade Stealth 2 3-wood, too. Irons: Srixon ZU85 (3-4) and TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW)
Scheffler’s golf irons are a mixed bag, with his current favourites (as of August 2023) being Srixon ZU85 3-4, and his 5 iron through to pitching wedge being TaylorMade P7TW.

Scottie’s put a lot of thought into his selection of wedges, and his current favourite golf brand for golf wedges is Titleist. Using a combination of the Vokey Design SM8 and the WedgeWorks, with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 golf shafts seems to be a winning combination.
Putter: Scotty Cameron Special Select Timeless Tourtype GSS prototype
Scheffler is yet another high-profile fan of the Scotty Cameron putter, and this prototype has been serving him well in recent games. The Scotty Cameron golf brand is of course synonymous with precision putting, and they developed this prototype especially for Scottie after growing tired of applying lead tape to the bottom of his old putter for extra weight!
